For over 70-years Lucky Strike has been the cornerstone for Candlepin Bowling in the City of Lynn, offering 34-lanes of bowling.
Founded in 1937 when Michael Faia converted an automobile dealership into an 18-lane bowling recreation center.
In 1968, with a growing popularity for Candlepin Bowling, Lucky Strike added a second floor and 16 additional bowling lanes.
A family business for 63 years, when in March of 2000, Lucky Strike Corporation was sold to long-time employee Manager and Candlepin Bowling Hall of Fame inductee: Jim Barber.
The family owned and operated tradition continues with The Barber family.
In a city that was once home to more than a dozen bowling centers, Lucky Strike is now only one of two bowling centers remaining in Lynn, and is the second largest bowling center in the North Shore.
